RS-485 2-Wire to 4-Wire Converter—CNV-100

Ensure connectivity of RS-485 devices!┬áThe CNV-100 enables interoperability of RS485 2-wire and 4-wire multi-point data communication networks. The CNV-100 connects 2-wire devices to 4-wire systems, or 4-wire devices to 2-wire systems.  LEDs flash to confirm data transmit/receive at both 2-wire and 4-wire sides.

The CNV-100 RS-485 (EIA-485) interfaces conform to the Modbus standard for RS-485 serial data communications. In general, it can be used with any protocol that adheres to the RS-485 standard operating at baud rates of 9600, 19.2k or 38.4k bps.

Markets/Applications:

Power Monitoring and Control

The CNV-100 has been tested with Square D PowerLogic meters, Sepam relays and Masterpact breakers (with Micrologic trip units), all from Schneider Electric, as well as Modbus devices from other manufacturers.

Industrial Automation

The CNV-100 is well-suited for automation systems with a variety of RS-485-based protocols, such as Modbus RTU and Profibus.

Building Automation

The CNV-100 has been used by BMS suppliers and system integrators for devices using BACnet as well as various proprietary protocols.

Reliable operation. The CNV-100 uses proven technology. Thousands of devices are in operation since its introduction in 2003.

No setup needed. The CNV-100 operates automatically for any of its supported baud rates. No DIP switches to set!
